09 Sep The Nightmare Called Nollywood: Part 1
I want to be rich and famous…
I’ve always wanted to be….
since i was bout 10 and i watched Regina Askia play sexy Tokunbo in the popular 90s tv series “Fortune”.And i said i wanna be just like youThe dream began and i,but who says its easy…15 years down and am still dreaming.
Nollywood has to be most corrupt and hardest industry to penetrate.I attended an event last weekend Notes2Notes and we listened to top notch music executives like Illbliss and Steve Babaeko of X3M music impart their knowledge of the industry.Stars like Timi Dakolo and Praiz were also speakers in the program and they gave very interesting tips on how to break into the tough and competitive industry. While twas duly noted and very well inspiring and encouraging, it still doesn’t help with the sexual harrassment and other challenges that are prominent in that industry especially for we ladies.
I wrote my first script when i was 15 and i had dreams to see it be made into a movie, and also probably play a role in it.My desire to make this dream a reality introduced me into a world of the most corrupt and depraved minds no girl should ever wish to meet.
I’ll be sharing my unbelievable but true experiences during my sojourn in that world..
Like my Nollywood people will say WATCH OUT FOR PART 2
